Meet Again

Representation of my Korean culture with my hanbok (traditional Korean dress) and the Mugunghwa (Korean national flower). The earrings worn are actually the same earrings my parents gave to me when I was a baby (I don't have them anymore, though, sadly). Text is from Ailee's "I will go to you" written in Korean. Lyrics are about losing someone that you love (grief) and feeling like you can't let go (hands also symbolic of that)-- longing for them once they're gone.

Goblin the Great and Lonely God Montage

*Spoilers* This show is a fantasy romance Korean television series about a goblin (which in Korean culture is like a mystical being or god that grants wishes or helps people) who is cursed with immortal life (sword in his chest in drama). The only one that can pull out the sword and end his life is the human goblin's bride. I watched this series before my ex passed away from cancer and I felt like extremely connected with the story, characters, religion, and the emotions involved with losing a loved one. There were also some themes that covered life, life after death, and how death doesn't necessarily mean the end for two souls. If you watch the series you will understand why I included everything that I did and emphasized certain things.

I included this powerful poem from the show which translates to in Korean:
